Official countdown begins

Well, it's my own wee official countdown!! T-minus 8 weeks! As the pedantic person that I am, I have started list upon list to ensure we don't forget anything and I've convinced Matt to do some pre-trip planning. Part of which was putting up a map in our living room and tagging where we want to go! Hilarious! But so fare we've only got a rough plan of the first 6-8 weeks of our trip, so here it is:

- Spend about 3 weeks traveling through France via hire car. We've got some nice tours highlighted from a traveling book Matt got me for my birthday. Some off the beaten track tours, so should be v v nice!
- Train from Nice to Rome, stopping off at Genoa, Pisa, maybe take a trip to Florence as well. My aunt Marisa is from Italy so I've asked her to write down lots of interesting places to go and see (cause as if I'll be able to remember all of them!!)
- Make our way to Austria for some 'Sound of Music' goodness!! And also see a bit of Vienna, I'm really really looking forward to Vienna.
- And then meet up with a few friends in Munich in time for a much needed stein of beer or two. I'm also keen to do the Rhein River and see quite a bit of Germany, actually.

So that should take up most of our time before we head over to the UK to catch up with other friends and family and eventually start looking for work...ugh!

So I may not blog too much until we leave, maybe just to keep up to date on the goings on of booking stuff, cause it's soooo verrryyy exciting, gosh!! :)
